Tikal, 2000
When my friends Joe and Lisa got married in Belize, I took a side trip to Tikal, in Guatemala, to visit the Mayan ruins there. I spent a great deal of time photographing birds, plants and clouds, too. Most of the pictures of the ruins themselves that I ended up liking were black and white; it better conveys the stark majesty of the stone, I think. Those pictures are at the bottom.
